Homeowner Retrofit Grants

There are currently LiveSmartBC provincial grants available for homeowners to improve the energy efficiency of their homes.  To be eligible for the LiveSmartBC Efficiency Incentive Program, the first step is to have a Certified Energy Advisor complete an energy assessment of your home.

The certified energy advisor will visit the home and take details of the current heating/cooling system, windows, insulation levels and air tightness.

Next, the certified energy advisor will explain the report that will be produced for the homeowner and give advice as to the upgrades available.

Ray Smith, Kootenay Energy Advisor, provides the above services in the Kootenay region of BC for the low cost of $150 plus tax.  Travel costs may apply for locations outside of the Creston Valley.

The homeowner then has, at present, until the end of March 2011 to complete any works he wishes to do.

The certified energy advisor will then return for the final evaluation, complete all the grant application forms and issue a new report and Energuide number.  Ray Smith, Certified Energy Advisor, will perform the final evaluation and completion of grant application forms for the low cost of $150 plus tax.  Travel costs may apply for locations outside of the Creston Valley.
